VisitScotland: The Peat Inn by St Andrews has become only the third 'Restaurant with Rooms' in Scotland to attain both an EatScotland Gold Award and a Five Star Gold award from national tourism organisation VisitScotland's Quality Assurance Scheme. 20 minutes by taxi.
- The Raisin
The Raisin is the closest pub to Howard Place; opposite the Students' Union and popular for years (under different names!). It was for many years the Kate Kennedy named after the University student club of the same name. Exit Hope Street south and turn right.
- The Seafood Restaurant
The Seafood Restaurant is located on the Scores. Two minutes from the R & A and the Old Course, it overlooks St Andrews Bay. It's a three-minute walk from Howard Place.
